Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Buffo has been going out with the cheepos every day for a few days now! It’s so much fun to see her teach them to scratch. The leghorns are so tall and proud. I’m enjoying this so much, and I don’t think I’ll ever use a brooder again if I don’t have to! She’s doing a good job taking care of them, and they’re getting to know the rest of the flock. Leghorns are 2.5 weeks old and the lavender Orpingtons will be two weeks on Monday. How the time flies! 😭😭
We cleaned the coop this afternoon, too. Whew!

A few fluffy photos to start your day.

Nice photos I had fun last night my big old blackLabrador was laying in my room (not normal habit).

I went ass end over tea kettle somehow split my upper lip from the inside (maybe a denture). My glasses got pushed into my face little cut from them on my right cheek and seem to have bit my left back of the hand.

It was a busy week here! Still have a little more to do on the roof today (before we run out of roofing and help as my parents go home today), but so much progress from having nothing Monday morning! My husband is 6'6 and at the top end closer to the building, the ground is built up more than the other end...so while the whole roof runs downhill (going to attach gutters and a rain barrel on the far end), it's 8' tall closer to the building and closer to 9' tall at the "lower" end! All of this is completely out of my "IT guy's" wheelhouse, but right up there in "things my stepfather does for fun", lol. In fact, all of the wood used was torn down from buildings he'd built on his property and hauled up here (400 miles away) to be reused for this project! They are having a 30'x70' steel building put in to replace all the smaller buildings he's built over the years!
