Even a few days can make a difference. I just went and caught the partridge chicks. One I was on the fence about and thought "boy" is a girl. I actually would have prefered boy.

2 boys to left 3 girls to right.

Obvious boy. Orange on neck and little mulberry wattles. He's also the biggest of them.

Girl. No wattles. Neck feathers are now visible as tan.

Thanks for the info. Do you folks attend shows?

Sometimes. I've taken birds before but I can't usually stay overnight so that effects me.

Have you noticed if there are any oriental games at shows?

I don't usually pay a lot of attention to the game breeds. I'm sorry.

Silkies, ameraucana, and araucana are what I really look at. Hubby zooms in on the giant breeds.

Then I watch serama tabletop some as it's just so fun to see them strut.

I had my phone with me listening to audio story with my nice headset with noise canceling on. So just pulled it out and took a picture as I'm slowly going forward.

Even yelling didnt get them to move until I got about 15 feet away. Then they just moved over into the tall canary grass that I don't mow at about the same distance.
