Had an interesting day. I totally forgot I had a meeting which I was a hour late for. During my meeting my husband texts me to say there's no power in the pump house. So we were out of water most the day. Needless to say dishes did not get done, lol. Turned out some sort of critter chewed the wires. Won't get fixed till spring. Running an extension cord to power the pump. Glad I got water. For a few winters use to haul water from the cistern. One winter the pipes were frozen for 5 months!

This past gardening season was a nightmare! Marmots everywhere! Assuming that's what chewed the wires. They made a home under the pumphouse. I was hoping one of my roosters would scare them off. But no... they'll watch their food get stolen by all manners of critters!
