Chicken question? Have any of you had Welsummers ? Mine are in their 15th week. We have a ways to go yet before they start laying, but, I have read they don’t lay until their 25 weeks????? Really? Do you think this is right?

I have 1 (which isn't going to be a good measuring stick). She laid as late as my other pullets at the time, which was at over 6 months. Sweet bird, ok layer.

I have 4 pullets that have blackish heads, I don't think they should
I have 3 with the deep red heads, and then 5 with red gold heads,
but I think they will change a bit cuz they are still growing.

They look just like brown leghorns but with deeper color and rich dark redness

there is some snow across the Hood canal on the Olympic Mt.'s not sure of the elevation, 3000ft \ 4000 my guess

Stevens has snow on top now. We are down 12 east but still just 1000 foot here.
has to get real low for us to see any.

I’m with you on waking up early Penny. But I like my time in the evening alone so I tend to stay up late.

Funny we go to bed most often later than 10. Often I go like 9:30 all of sudden.
