Crossing the Road
I wish I could afford to have someone do most of the work for me. My right knee is bone on bone and makes crunchy sounds. It was kind of swollen up after working yesterday, but I iced it down a couple times.
I was planning to have it replaced this summer, but I wouldn't have been able to get chickens or build the coop and run or have a nice big garden.
So I'd rather suffer a little for the next year and enjoy my chickens and garden now. It's a fair trade off, I guess. LOL
I just finished the coop-side wall of the run. All of the hardware cloth is in place and I just finished stapling on 1/2 thick trim to beef up the security. I don't think a racoon will be able to rip through. Taking a break now, and then I'll finish the front. It'll take 3 sections of hardware cloth, 4 feet wide and 90 inches long. I'll take some pics when I'm finished for the day.
A door will be hung on the last side I need to finish. I have the door, which is a metal skinned residential/house door. But I don't have hinges for it. Found it next to the road with a big "FREE" sign taped to it. Score!!!
