Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Okay Ladies and Gents, talk to me about caring for meat birds! I took in a flock of 36-38 chickens last night that have been displaced by the fires on the East side over here near Spokane. I don't have an accurate count as they were unloaded into my dark, unused for 5 years coop under my deck! I gave then the 14% layer feed I had on hand that my hens aren't eating since it was a little after midnight when they got here and packed through my house in plastic totes from the horse trailer they arrived in. The owner has lost her home, she was told it was a total loss shortly after evacuating and I am taking care of these guys and gals for her family! So, all I know is she normally gets her feed in Deer Park and I am headed that direction this morning to pick up feed and any other supplies I need (pine shavings because man are Cornish STINKY! Photos of the Roo and some of the laying hens that came in with the Cornish, I recognize a RIR hen, a couple, maybe 3 that are like the chipmunk-ed one in the hen photo, and 2 of the Blue/Black/Grey hens. And the roo...I've been calling him "Mr Big" since I have only had a brief text convo with the owner....what is he?!? Part Turken? Or is he just a BIG Cornish cross? Several of the Cornish are roos and are fighting this morning (I know my 12'x15' run is NOT big enough for comfort level, but better than burning to death in a wild fire)!

Omg! Bless your heart for taking them in!

Very nice of you, @WhySayWhat to take in all those chickens.

Penny jo, where do you buy fabric in Chehalis? I have to go to Longview if I need something like that.

Cooper has figured out if he gets up early he can get to the girls without Pippi interfering. Pippi is a late starter.
The one Gal at the auction she had to close her Mothers fabric store.
She discounts the bolts of fabric. Only can buy it on Auction days, Saturdays
all but the first one of the month.
Cole Creek Auction they do have a website same name.
