The bags I buy are from the feed store brown 50 lbs bag of flakes.
Oyster is all in them but then I hate tsc.

What feed store has the real oyster flakes?

I use excel feed pellets. My Dad bought truckloads back in the day.
Made in Tacoma still.

I was using X cel feed, but switched to CHS Payback feed. It's layer feed, 18% protein and small pellets.

Had to look that one up will staying with excel here birds do well on it wet or dry.

We go there for 3 grain scratch. Healthy treats.

I use have that as treat food too. Not a huge fan of purina either.
Scratch and Peck is not too bad as a treat.
Real cool here just in the mid 60's.

I got a cheap bag of chicken scratch several months ago at Walmart. I give them a tiny amount every so often, maybe 1/2 cup between the 8 birds. They love it. But I mainly use it to call them when I want them to come running from the woods, or want them back in the run. They definitely know what the sound of scratch shaking in the empty peanut butter jar means. LOL. Snacktime!

It's been raining a little here, which is nice for a change. Cool outside too. So I decided it would be a good time to make a loaf of homemade bread in the bread machine. Using the quick recipe that takes just an hour and used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. So it might be a little chewy, but it'll taste good nonetheless.

Edited to add:

It was good. I topped slices with stir fried veggies; from the garden, turnip, carrot and their greens, chopped onion, and chopped chicken thigh. A little ginger powder and soy sauce for flavor, and some cornstarch to thicken it up.
