Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I am the master chicken juggler!!! I rounded them up and into their coop by 7:20 tonight!!! Mike doesn't do it until well after 8, but I didn't feel like going out that late and he is out for the evening.

All I can say is, I'm more patient than the chickens. 🤣

Maybe that's master herdsman...

Funny the banty are at the door waiting for us just before dark.
all four... Every time I look at the white silky I think roo.
I started a incubator with 10 eggs to see if my splash marans is fertile.
I added a banty egg on a whim.
We kinda trained the banty by the pvc pole.

Silkies take to it fast. They like the white so they can see it better

A mole took a trip through the soil right underneath my patch of fall crop seedlings. It didn't seem to bother the plants at all, even when the mole burrowed directly underneath them.

I plucked all the tips from the two flowering red Russian kale plants to try to make the existing seed pods mature faster. Don't know if it's the right thing to do, but I did it anyway. LOL

Picked two large cherry tomatoes and one Oregon Spring tomato, all were about 3/4 ripe. Got 3 eggs this AM, just enough for an omelet.

The great deal I thought I was getting from Walmart on Ball canning jars was a scam, I think. Order showed as delivered but I didn't get it. Post office said the tracking number I got was for an order that was shipped to a different address, and that order weighed only 2 ounces! Definitely not what 2 dozen canning jars would weigh!

Walmart refunded my money. Good thing, too. My neighbor told me yesterday that she has a lot of old canning jars that she'll give to me.

I just ordered a whole house tankless electric water heater.
The one here was here when we moved here big old tank style near the end of life 20 some years old.
We have a small electric tankless 110 if the entire house one is not enough.

We still have the old tank style too. No idea how old it is. Here when we bought the place 12 years ago. Actually we have two tanks down there, and a bunch of filtering systems. I'm not sure what it's all about. Mike handles all that stuff.
