Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

catch me up, on that last statement???
why do you miss the chickens?
I had two fatal raccoon attacks in two weeks. We were going on vacation in the next week or so and no time to hang new Netting etc…I was not going to leave that horror show for a chicken sitter to suffer through!

We also had a death in the family so had to leave town for that too! That’s when it became clear that we are not promised time to go places or do things. I found great homes for my hens, best of all they are all still alive!

I’m putting off fixing up the chickens quarters until I’m sick of sitting on airplanes!

So sorry for the tragic raccoon attacks!!! Sounds like you have thought through what's best for you right now. Happy travels!!!

Good Friday morning,
Enjoying my coffee by the stove.

The weather snow forecast has improved for January. IMG_6366.png IMG_6367.png

I dont mind the fog & rain, the snow is beautiful but with rynauds it makes it hard to get the work done.
I am going to do a mite check today. I really pray I dont find any.

Sorry about the Raynaud's. That would make moving snow a problem. We are having mostly fog and rain here so far.

Maybe I'll post a photo later, but the bed where I planted garlic and laid straw has sprouted all over the place. I planted in neat rows, but these little shoots are just everywhere. I think the straw sprouted and I'm growing grass. That is how things go here. I can grow stuff, just not what I want to grow.
