I wish it would warm up just a little. Don't feel like planting the garlic in 40 degree weather.

I counted 40 sprouted garlic this morning, 50 to go. I know that every one of the cloves I planted last year grew so I expect the same this year.I got them all in the ground. Woot! DH will go around and cover them over for me. Easier for him to reach the middle of the planters.
He didn't bring home more garlic for planting. We may have to make a special trip to Kaija's on Saturday for them.
Nice looking winter garden!I counted 40 sprouted garlic this morning, 50 to go. I know that every one of the cloves I planted last year grew so I expect the same this year.
Nice looking jack o lanterns @pennyJo1960 . Will you put candles in them or electric lights?
Two eggs laid so far today. I culled one of the cockerels earlier this week even though he was the best looking of the two New Hampshires. He started acting aggressively toward me while I was sitting in the run watching them, and even came up close enough to me to give my finger a painful bite.
One more will have to go one of these days and that will probably be the RIR cockerel, leaving me with one, a NH cockerel, which is all I need for the number of pullets I have.
It's time for me to start harvesting greens from the garden. They're liking the wet, cool weather. I picked a some of the kale and collards today. The cabbages are starting to form heads.
