Jess, no wonder your kids are so good looking - they definitely come from show quality parents.

That's sweet! Thanks...but stop...you're giving me a big head

For anyone that needs to find a forgotten password for a web site it's pretty easy. I'm talking about passwords for web sites like BYC or Yahoo, Amazon, Groupon, FaceBook, Staples or any of a million other sites that require a username and password.

If you use FireFox as your browser, click on TOOLS / OPTIONS / SECURITY / Saved Passwords / Show Passwords / Yes
Then scroll down the list until you find the URL for the web site you're trying to log into and viola there's your password, too.
Easy Peasy.

Internet Explorer has something very similar. All your "secret" passwords are stored in a file that your browser keeps on your hard drive. (that's how hackers can easily get to them).

This works for any site where you've told the browser "yes, save this logon and password". If you've told it, on the other hand, to "Never save the password for this site" it won't be in the list.

Thanks for the info Carolyn, but I'm currently in Firefox and trying to do what you described and under Tools I have no Options or Security headings. When I hover or click on Tools at the top of my screen the options are: web search, downloads, add ons, set up sync, web developer, page info, start private browsing, and clear recent history. Why don't I have the options your telling me about?

Carolyn, as you can see there is user error on my posts! I made a post previously and it disappeared! Where do u live? What kind of chickens do you have? I agree with you about alpacas!

I'm in the Kitsap area and have just 3 girls, my EE (avatar), a Barnevelder, and a Black Sex Link who is my sweet puppy-like hen. We're in the process of enlarging our run and coop (my christmas gift) so I can up the population by one or two.

Did I see that you have cuckoo marans hens? If so, are they good layers and are the eggs dark brown?

Carolyn - I believe Cuckoo's also lay the same dark brown eggs that Black Copper Marans do; my only reasoning for this is that I got a mix bird from WA4HPoultryMom and she's a Cuckoo Marans x EE, and she's definitely considered an Olive Egger; the mix of the dark brown eggs with light green eggs makes for amazing dark green eggs. I love the Cuckoo look too!!

I'm running version 17 of Firefox, is yours different? "Options" has been the last item in the Tools list for a long time, so I'm not sure why you don't have it. When I click on Tools I have Downloads, Add-Ons yada yada Clear Recent History, then Options as the last one. Nor does mine have "web search".

If you look at the other commands at the top of the browser can you find Options anywhere else?

Nope! Isn't that weird?! I have no idea what version I'm running though. I'm using a Macbook Pro that is about 16 months old if that means anything. I'm not too worried about it, I just thought it was interesting that mine was different.
Since you're running on a Mac, I'm sure FireFox is going to look different. BUT... if you click on Help it will take you to the support site for FireFox. You can search for "Security and Passwords settings". I just found it for the Windows version of FireFox. I was going to paste it in here for you, until I saw "Macbook".
