Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I let my girls out for a bit today. A few minutes into their foraging, I looked out over the field and saw a hound that lives somewhere down the gravel road. I roared at it (I echoed), and it took off down the driveway. Its companion, probably a sibling because they look identical from a distance, was standing where I couldn't see it. It followed the other one. I'm just glad that I noticed them when all of the girls were up close to the house eating sunflower seed. I really wish that people would keep track of their dogs. We now have to fix the fence post that the Sears delivery truck broke so that the fence is whole and the gate can be shut when the chickens are free-ranging. ARGH!

Update on "Peep", she ate a few crumbles and drank a ton of water about 6 hours after the attack. I know the wound will heal fine, I was just worried about the shock. She seems to have come out of that. We have heard her clucking and purring in the tub a few times. Gonna keep her inside tonight and she how she is doing tomorrow to see if she wants out or not.

Happy New Year everyone.

A Complete List of Seed Companies Owned by Monsanto – And – A Complete List of Seed Companies Not Owned by Monsanto.

When you purchase seeds be aware of their source, expecting Non GMO seeds and getting Gm seeds would not be beneficial. Listed here is a list of companies that Evil Monsanto owns to profit off of so-called organic Non GMO seeds.

As of 2005, Monsanto owns Seminis. It is estimated that Seminis controls 40 percent of the U.S. vegetable seed market and 20 percent of the world market—supplying the genetics for 55 percent of the lettuce on U.S. supermarket shelves, 75 percent of the tomatoes, and 85 percent of the peppers, with strong holdings in beans, cucumbers, squash, melons, broccoli, cabbage, spinach and peas. The company’s biggest revenue source comes from tomato and peppers seeds, followed by cucumbers and beans.

The list has inaccuracies. My sister emailed territorial seeds because they were on the list. Territorial Seeds vehemently denies being owned by Monsanto.

Apparently they've made corrections.
