Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hi everyone! These threads for each state are really neat :) saves the trouble of figuring out who is close ......I live in Rochester, but make a (almost) weekly trip to the south park/Seattle area each week and would love to get to know more ppl with chickens :)

I have 6 young hens I purchased from The Chicken Man in Orting and this is the first time I have ever had or been around chickens so I have lots of trial and error going on ;-P lol......

So far I've had 2 escaping chickens, now found...... And discovered cedar is toxic.... of course not till after I had it in the pen for three days :-( ..... The Cedars now all swapped out for pine shavings..... this is definitely an adventure:)

I have one question for now, most likely many more to come ;-)..... does anyone know how to add pictures using an iPhone, as that is my only Internet connection for the moment.... :)
Hey NEIGHBOR. I also live in the great city of Rochester, Wa. I can't help with the pic from phone but sure would like to see you at the meet up in Kelso when we get a firm time and day. Which day of the week would be good for you? You can pm me.

Hey mikeyb is in that area. I am just a bit south right off exit 68. We are working on trying to get a meet up down in the Kelso area since there are getting to be a few new peeps there. Watch for more info from me or Mikey.

So I see the landscape icon, and can verify that I am using the mobile app.... But do the pics have to be already uploaded on a web page? Or can I upload right from my phone?

A thorny hedge ,like berberis, by the sidewalk with flowers on your side.

that is what i was thinking. Something that will be painful for them to go threw to get to the flowers, or veggies. My dad suggested some poison ivy or poison sumac (not sure if i spelled that right). Apparently it flowers real pretty LOL
I have a feeling that I would be forced to remove anything like that though. So am thinking of black berries. They grow wild. i've slowly been transplanting some from the back yard that are growing in the grass to the front garden. I need to water them real good this year so they'll take over that whole area though. I really want a garden to grow some good organic food though. and this year i have ducks to get rid of slugs and give a ton of fertilizer. I already have to clean out the duck house.
