Gosh I'm still just reeling over the size of that darned eagle!!! It seriously stood as high as my thigh!

Was it a bald or golden ?

FM. The DE I've had has always been white.

Mine's reddish! I was shocked. The first time I bought it it was white. Then I bought a bag from Coastal and it was red!

So I've considered taking on a hopeless bird project. To try and get a barred silkie that doesn't have pigment issues. I know the barring causes issues with the skin and eye pigment. The little striped silkies are so cute, though. DH didn't give me the "Look" when I told him about it, so he doesn't care. Of course, I told him I'd only need to get two black girls, and since the silkies take so little room, that wasn't bad.
