Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Can someone read this post and look at the pics of my araucana here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...s-differently-than-other-breeds#post_10051790 and tell me what you think...

she eats, drinks, walks, poops fine. She's really timid and her neck gets the most crooked when I first pick her up. When she calms down and I straighten her neck, she can hold it fine. I let her out of the pen today and let her walk around the garage for an hour. she didn't poop once, which seems odd to me. I worry too much. She is doing a little bit of head shaking.
Sara, Try googling Wry Neck and Stargazer's. I don't don't know much about them, but have seen it often recommended to try vitamins especially vit B, I think. Sorry I don't remember details.

I'm glad to find this thread. My family (husband and 3 kids) think I've gone a little bonkers since I've discovered that I really enjoy caring for my, now 8, chickens. It'll be nice to connect with others who get that these birds are funny, smart, and useful.

Hey all! Got to meet Farmin' Mama today, and KMHunter, Slinglings, and Dawn. Anyone else I missed, sorry! I was flustered with 3 kids in a line for 30 minutes (but got a smokin' deal!!) and then stood around talking for only a few minutes.

FarminMama, my son was thoroughly impressed that you were carrying while you walked around the feed store...and that you were a GIRL carrying! LOL I don't know why he doesn't think mama is as cool with a gun. Maybe it had something to do with the amazingly fun and ginormous dog you also had  Thanks so much for the eggs I couldn't pay for; I'm a putz and forgot to make change at checkout for the eggs!! Grr, too much going on in my head to remember, but the eggs are amazing and we are eating half of them for dinner tonight to make my life easier. I love the tiny pullet egg you threw in there with all those large and extra large eggs, too cute! I forgot how tiny my girls eggs were and that was just in August!

Dawn - you are too, too sweet! Thank you for the extra's in my order, they will be well loved by us, and the people who will be receiving some things as baby gifts soon. I'm sorry you had a migraine, I know those well and it's so hard to function like that!

Sara - Nice to meet you briefly and see your cute family! Sorry we didn't get to stay and chat longer :(

Kim- dont' forget to let me know if you got the coupon in your email, I'll send you mine!

Whew, the last two days have been hecktic!

Saterday at Bothell feed was fun. it was good to see Sara again, even though it wad only for a few moments. She disapired before I knew it lol.

Dawn, it was nice meeting you as well and would have loved to been able to chat about your soaps, but puppy had to go potty and you were gone when I came back in.

Jess, I am so glad you came all this way for the sale. It was great meeting you, and your kids, your kids are great and so very cute and sweet. I am sorry that Jazz startled your younger DS, that's the only down fall to big dogs.
I am glad you are enjoying the eggs. And don't worry about the $, I was not planning on leting you pay for them anyways, no biggy! Glad I could share.
I think your DS is the only one who liked the fact that I was carrying. There were a lot of people talking about it. I acctually had a little bit of an argument with a lady behind me in line.

Kim, it was good to see you again as always. Glad you did not have to rush off too. Some of those people in line just mafe me laugh.
Next time we all should walk over and get coffee after loading up.

Man my dogs really made out. I got two huge bags. One of food samples from outside, and inside they took two doggy gift bags and put them into one bag for me. I don't have to buy treats for a while. But I think I may be looking into the raw food.

Oh Kim, what did you get in the chicken gift bag? I'll have to go bavk and get one.

Congrats on everyones cute chicks.

They're not supposed to hatch until midnight tonight... so I'm being optimistically planning to have a full hatch of 12.

Off topic but made both of us laugh. Worth watching. Good clean fun.

These exercises are only for people who fall gently.
husband and wife team...
They do this so effortlessly, that is the
beauty of this routine, which makes it
funnier. And she in a dress and heels.

That was really fun, I remember them from back in the day. Just as much fun today as back then! Thanks for the link.

What kind of chickens do you have? Did you raise them from chicks? What got you hooked?
