Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Good morning everyone!
Headed to work for another fun filled day of craziness! This last week before break is always crazy, but this year seems worse too me. I have been exhausted after work the last couple of nights!
Why do people wait til the last minute
Ok! I am off to work now with a smile on my face! Thanks for letting me blow off some steam before I go. I feel a little better.

Kim While I don't work closely with patients with no patience !!! I do have a bit of understanding. And after NO MATTER what field people are people and can only do so much. Sure would be nice if people could learn the sooner they do something to help themselves the sooner others can also help (if needed).

And as far as I am concerned. VENT AWAY GIRL !!!! isn't that part of what WE on the WA thread are about SUPPORTING each other however that may be !!

So I need a goose for a family dinner on the 28th of December. Does anyone have one to sell, or know of where I could buy a live goose?

I've got one in the freezer, butchered a month ago, but I'm in Bend and not going to drive it to Seattle to deliver. There must e a lot of people raising geese somewhere close to Seattle.

OK so here's what the inside of the coop looks like now. It's still small, but has plenty of roost space for 12-15 chickens (there's 14' of roost) and they don't go in the coop anyway except to sleep and lay. Today I'm also going to hang a feeder and put a waterer of some kind in there. The girls didn't want to leave the coop this morning (though they'd been up for hours with the coop light) and their food/water was outside. When they went to roost on the new roosts last night, the all SMOOSHED each other all the way to the back of the coop! I think they didn't want to roost above the pop door and the little window on the other side, so they snuggled against the back wall on the roosts. I will be covering the window for the rest of the winter so that they can spread out a little better...if they want to. The roosts are 3' high so they have plenty of floor space under them as well.

Why do people wait til the last minute to call a dental office for a problem and expect us to solve it when there is NO time to fix it? AND the problem didn't just happen last night or yesterday, it happened 3 weeks ago or more! And they are just calling now and want it fixed like yesterday. Or they look at us and are like "what do you mean I have to wait until after the new year?"
I don't mean we don't take care of the people in pain. We make the time to at least make them comfortable, but there are others that have had an issue for weeks or months, for heaven sake, we are not magicians and we have to work with labs that have hours and restrictions around the holidays too!

Sorry, I am venting.

I love caring for our patients, until they expect us to work miracle and are PO'd when we tell them it isn't possible.

Why? Insurance would be my guess.

Quote: Yes~ our copay % is lower in the calander years that we have been to the dentist twice for cleanings and preventative care~so if we need anything major done, it's best to do it in a year when we've actually been to the dentist regularly :)

If it's a flex spending account balance we need to use though, we have until March to use it up.
