Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

We were busy making this gorgeous gingerbread house today:

Of course, this is the side that the neighbors don't get to see. The chickens know that Marshmallow Farmer's axe is for the tootsie roll log, not them. Behind the coop is the Pile that homebuilders know all too well: the detritus of leftover building materials, and this gingerbread house is no exception!

I made a gingerbread house at my future in-laws' house a few days ago. It's decorated for Halloween. My designs are always quirky because it's more fun that way. I'll try to remember to take some pictures and post them.

My MIL sent me this for Xmas:

That is a beautiful quilt! She sure knows you. I want it. Please.

Just kidding. You can keep it.

OK now for a little fun stuff.

OK so I have to fess up. It appears I am going to have a problem here. See we are NOT ALLOWED to have WHITE eggers. DW's rules. Well tonight I felt the need to polish my skills so I rustled me a chicken. It wasn't until I got it in the barn and under the lights that I realized

Oh well I guess IF it lays eggs no matter the color it will be better than the what I am getting from my 10 LF and 3 B slackers, zero eggs a day for a couple weeks now. Store eggs are not my choice but gotta have something.

Might as well share my finished item today: stitch markers with a thingy to keep them from getting lost. I rebent the clasp after this photo, and forgot to re=photograph; it went out in a box lined with black Baaachus wool, which I also should have photographed, oops.

Awesome! I love them. Didn't know you knit, or make stuff like this! I just made this this afternoon; it's a newborn sleep sack:

Looks like an upside down hat for a cone-head!

But it's super cute on DDs dolls and should be perfect for my friend's newborn in a month. This is the pattern:

Any other gals knit here? I LOVE knitting! Can't do it all the time though because it causes severe pain in my arms. This was the first time I picked up my needles in about 10 months!
