Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

One point I overlooked in my earlier post. The med I was taking wasn't for anything related to depression. It was for a sleep disorder. Also since it happened gradually over such a long time it made it hard for me and others to really figure out what was going on. I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow to look into other med options. Right now at one week I am feeling so much better in so many ways.

I hope this information can be helpful to somebody. I also want to thank all of you for your support and friendship.
Very glad that you are feeling better!!!!!!!!!

People do have to realize it is not a DIY project and bystanders(family and the like) have to realize NO ONE wills themselves to be depressed, etc. There is no payoff to do so. You can't will yourself to be 'strong," and "get over it." You really need to be diagnosed by a competent mental health professional and have them call the shots re: meds, therapy etc. It is especially important if you are an older adult - as metabolism is slower and dosages are usually reduced.

NAMI-National Alliance for Mental Illness) is a great source of info with branches across the country - google them even if just curious.
That is the hardest thing to convey to people. I made my DH come with me to my Dr. appts when I was first going thru this yrs ago and it helped him to understand the condition better hearing it first hand from a Dr.

Does anyone here have a boy that wears size 7 shoes or will soon? I bought my son shoes and they can't be returned, he doesn't like them so I would like to find someone nice to give them to :) They are brand new, size 7 boys, New Balance tennis shoes, white silver gray black. He doesn't like them because they don't tie, I didn't realize that they didn't have tie laces. Picky picky. I bought them from Zulily months ago and they don't take returns.

This might be them exactly or they are very similar at least:

The laces are elastic, they don't tie, and the top strap is velcro. Never worn out of the house.
I have to say, your boy is adorable! We only met for a very short time, but I can tell he is quite the character!!!

My MIL sent me this for Xmas:

>Snipped for enviable chicken batik<

Really nice. I need to get some chicken pictures people have given me framed; I've finally managed to frame a lovely hand-painted white charmeuse tie that was in danger of being ruined. Oh, well: Aunt Julia's House of unfinished projects.

Might as well share my finished item today: stitch markers with a thingy to keep them from getting lost. I rebent the clasp after this photo, and forgot to re=photograph; it went out in a box lined with black Baaachus wool, which I also should have photographed, oops.
Awesome! I love them. Didn't know you knit, or make stuff like this! I just made this this afternoon; it's a newborn sleep sack: Looks like an upside down hat for a cone-head! :lau But it's super cute on DDs dolls and should be perfect for my friend's newborn in a month. This is the pattern: http://mrsmissymuffet.blogspot.com/2010/02/laurel-love-cocoon.html
I don't knit; people have tried to teach me, but I always end up tieing my fingers together. I used to crochet but I've got too much nerve damage to my hands to do it now. But I have a bunch of friends who knit; one of them made me a nifty little hat with owls in, and I asked her what she wanted in exchange. She doesn't wear jewlry bus said she really needed stitch markers, so I made her a set, and the pin came as a way to not misplace them in the general chaos and bewilderment that is my house right now.

Well I thought I had things in the works for moving the cages Saturday. But I have not heard back from Justbugged. I have committed to getting this done on Saturday and I WILL be going ahead even if by myself.

IF by chance anybody is available Saturday about 2:30. I will be in the South Tacoma / Spanaway area. Or if ya just wanna drop by and say HI let me know and I will tell ya where. If I come up with 2-3 able bodies I figure this to only be about 10-15 minute job. IF I go it alone I am planning 30-45 minutes. Best info I can find is the cages weigh about 324 lbs each.

If interested in meeting please PM or e-mail me.

I think it's very important as Christmas day comes closer to know the truth about the three wise men.
Many don't know this fact.

There were actually FOUR wise men!

That's right! FOUR!

One got turned back when the other three discovered he was bringing a fruitcake!

Now you know the rest of the story and can dazzle your friends at Christmas dinner with your knowledge of the wise men!

I like this guys sense of humor and artistic license.
I like this too and in fact there is talk we may build something similar in the front pasture at the stables. However I have also seen a second story for this pic. The second story I have seen said that the man is/was a furniture maker and this was just kind of his way of advertising. No matter the story it is still AWESOME IMO
