Okay WA folks, I live in Tacoma, WA and got my chicks in September, they still haven't laid their first egg yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

I would think that if there were others in your boat, you'd have seen them already.

I like that setup you have, it must be great to have so much open space. Some of the breeds you mentioned can be gotten from one of our members who goes by 'tailfeathers'. You can find a recent post from him here. He has very high quality Ameraucanas, Barnevelders, Buckeyes, and Welsummers. Super nice person.

Ron, thanks for posting that picture of the opossum. I've seen them scurrying down the streets as I drive by, but have never seen them up close. I've wondered what they looked like. From a distance they look like giant rats. Sorry about your chicken. I'm impressed you were able to smash that thing the way you did. Remind me never to meet you in a dark alley.
