Quote: What size trailer do you have??? Maybe I can give you some pointers. See I can only manage 8'x16' on my trailer. But the one truck will take 7'x12' if I take the crane off the back.
What "brooder holes" do you mean my 3x5 nest rack

we've got one of those 4x8 utility trailers with foot-tall sides and a wire mesh taller tailgates that doubles as a ramp. My truck is a 1/2 ton with a 6 1/4 foot bed, so it's not going to handle much, and besides the canopy is a PITA to take off ......What size trailer do you have??? Maybe I can give you some pointers. CR is very, very sly and quick. I sat right next to him and couldn't catch him at it.CR just one question - how do you manage to eat, out in public, with your mask on?

Have you ever let Pig Pen near them without wire between them? I've wondered if he would still be so sociable with them if they didn't have that wire barrier. I like that he's been good at chasing the big girls off if the big girls peck at them through the tractor.
ETA: Why can't he stand up for himself, when he'll stand up for babies! Oh, wait, I do that too.![]()
Pig Pen is my 10mo 12lb Orp rooster, he can stand up for himself. He is outside the tractor and shows interest toward the chicks(Silkies and orphan LF from last hatch, 10 weeks). There is no way I am letting him near the Silkies, he would squish them flat. They don't even come up to where his feathers start on his drumsticks. "Ridick" the orphan will be too big to stay in the tractor with the Silkies after a few more weeks. He is going to go onto the layer flock once the pallet coop is done(new ground for everyone).

Just like eating an elephant one bite at a time !!!CR just one question - how do you manage to eat, out in public, with your mask on?
