Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

my son doesn't sell to the public, he just takes extras to school and they give him donations

That, actually is the public.
Anyone outside your household is considered the public, and big GOVT' needs to know who raised/sold/washed the eggs in question in case anyone gets sick.
And as it happens, sometimes folks do get sick from eggs.
So far as to my knowledge, it has always been from a big commercial (and awful) egg farm...I have never heard/seen of anyone ever getting sick from small hobby famer's eggs, still, the law applies.

i wont lie I sell eggs to friends/family. While it is public I don't have any special labels or anything. I use old egg cartons and they return them to be refilled. I think as long as I only sell to close friends and family it's fine. I mean I'm not making even enough to pay for their feed. Just enough to help out with some of the cost.
I'm sure a lot of us sell to friends and family. I also give eggs to friends and family when they lose a job, or make to much for food stamps yet barely make enough to pay their bills.

Not far from us at all. That is nice country. Would love to visit there some time.
UGH>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TOO HOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can have it.
High desert heat sink that is 110 degrees on April first, and gets hotter all summer, up to 118 degrees.
TOO hot to fish, or go outside at all.
We lived n front of the swamp cooler, all summer and in front of the heater all winter, with temps down to 14 degrees in winter.
The lake glossed over with filthy piles of dead fish and dead algae that stank for miles................I got phots you would not be able to look at with out imagining the horrid smell.

Cache Creek

There is a deep channel under that slimey ca ca

Mind you, it is over 110 degrees here, and there is no feed into the lake at all other than rain fall.
So it gets nasty !
Ducks & water fowl die...added to the nasty dead fish from lack of Oxygen in the water................YUCK.

Looking over the bridge on our road:

See the shadow of the bridge on the lower photo ?
These big floaty purpl-ey pies can be 3-feet across and birds can walk on top.
They completely close off all oxygen to the fish, which die, which ads to the crud~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NO thankyou, I prefer my clean COLD constantly clean fed rivers here.
We'll probably never sell that house down there, except for the influct of workers for the ever increasing winery industry, which is sucking even more water out...there is not enough ground water, lack of rain is killing the lake, largely just run off in a Caldera-type basin.
Vents in the bottom of the lake make bubbles constantly which follow a rift up to the Geysers.

Anyone here raise geese? Like say... Africans or pilgrims? I wanted all Africans ended up with pilgrim females and an African male. Sigh... What would you do? i don't wanna end up with mule geese. I love them all the silly things! I knew Africans were not suppose to have orange beaks but the guy insisted!
Contact Rare Feathers Farm about geese, she raises quite a few & may be able to help you.
Her name is Heather.
