I agree, planting a fruit tree/bush is a great idea. I hope the chick does make it!

Good for you pushing thru! Many times it is very hard to do.Well I'm up late knitting. Finally decided that even if it hurts me, I can't waste my life not doing the things I love since clearly my pain levels are never going to go away. So, Jeanine should have a beautiful purple tunic top within a week or so. I'll post a pic of it when it's done.
Hope you've been able to get a good rest since then!!!Well this stinks. One of our local Tacoma drivers got sick on his route today and did not deliver 5 stores. So tonight when me and the other shuttle driver get to Lakewood, we get to load the product into a couple of trailers and we each get to go deliver them. I get 3 of the stores in downtown Seattle area. Yay. So my normal 6-7 hr run will likely turn into near 10+. Oh well, job security I guess
I severely despise Hell-Mart!!! One of the biggest reasons is the customers!this year walmart is the cheapest place to get seeds! I went there and they also have a section of 10 cent seeds and 20 cent seeds. I grabbed several of those for sunflower seeds, and corn.
Then i got the 99 cent and the $1.09 seeds for squash, one thing of corn (to make sure i have some grow) and other things.. Only issue I had there at all was the lady with 5 kids running around screaming taking things off of shelves and opening packets of seeds. Then she dared to look at me and say "don't be so over protective" cause i made my 2 year old nephew hold my hand and not touch anything that i didn't hand to him.
I rarely go to walmart because people letting kids run wild seems to be the norm. in there.
Quote: Yes I did. Got home around 8:30am, in bed by 9:15(after catching up on BYC and FB) and slept til 4pm. Just part of the job.
my state thread isnt active, is it okay if i join you all? I like washington.. its a cool place to live.![]()
The ones that go on lockdown saturday don't look so great. Not sure if any of those will hatch. I've hatched from my moms eggs before with success. The only difference now is the rooster. Thinking getting her a new rooster may help.
Fingers crossed they will be fine.
We're still waiting for a 3rd little chick to hatch. We set 10, but most never even developed. We can tell from candling, there's going to still be a yolk in there, and not much else. 2 hatched and are doing great. The 3rd looked like it would hatch - but nothing yet. Day 25 is tomorrow.
I have a feeling the kids and I will be holding a funeral. Hopefully we'll come up with a cool idea that won't cost us a fortune. My oldest son's dead feeder gold fish was buried in a beautiful origami box beneath a $100.00 Magnolia tree. I really hope he's not expecting us to duplicate that funeral! Funny thing is - it was buried 3 years ago and my son still believes the paper box and fish will still be there if we ever dug it up. Sigh.
