I've dabbled in it now and then but have nothing but empty bonsai pots now. I brought them from CA in Sept. thinking I could get trees up here easier than down there. I should use them.

This is a wonderful place to both gather, and grow Bonsai Trees !

I am just so sad. I am losing my rooster "Arnold". He is just a year old and was fine a week ago. Now his color is really bad and he is really weak. One of the other roosters died in the fall. Usually it is the girls that have problems and the boys live for ever. And the girls are fine so far. So I am perplexed. I am taking him to Dr Bruce tomorrow to have a necropsy done to see if they find anything contagious or congenital or anything.

I am so sorry, do you have more for that breed? I don't have any extra ,oh do have orpington s if that helps.

We need to rehome two WC Black Polish Roosters. Cant keep up with the high maint. of the polish, and are going another direction. They are free to a good home. Can deliever closer to I-5. We are in Grays Harbor. One of them is pictured in my avitar. They are a little over a year. Got the mother from a local breeder, father came from the feed store.

Hey, tomorrow and Sat. the weather's supposed to be great. Any chance of dumping it out on a tarp or something to let it dry in the sun?

If it is scratch feed, just sift it, such as a drain in the bottom and moisture will go down, leave the lid off & left moisture escape...if anything, seeds will sprout...hopefully you use it up before it gets too sprouted or sour.

I found this on amazon yesterday ! What do you think for putting together easy enclosures?

It is only the plastic brackets and some cut plans - you will need to buy 2x4s and screws. I don't see the advantage. I clicked the link and from the photograph I think most folks could use that as plans and build it from 2x4s and nails. Really simple framing project.

Or maybe I'm jealous

I had 3, sold one that later was eaten by an eagle. One that died a few months ago and now Arnold. The hens are ok.
