I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but referring back to Jess' wet feed. If it is freshly wet, and hasn't started molding yet. You could freeze it, and just thaw it in small amounts.

Hey, thanks! This was so worth watching!
I don't think anyone thought of this yet. It's a GREAT idea! If it were me, I'd say, "problem solved".I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but referring back to Jess' wet feed. If it is freshly wet, and hasn't started molding yet. You could freeze it, and just thaw it in small amounts.

I got some great news tonight. Seems Jeanine / Cloverleaf farmhas made arrangements to have my plasma cutter repaired !
Not sure if I will get it back in time to get many more chicks done for Monroe but at least I will be back up and running before long.![]()

Centraila gave you bad service? Wow. I've been dealing there for over a year or more. I have always found them helpful and willing. I've been there during the week and on Sat and when they were swamped with customers. On a 5 star rating I would give them a easy 5. Never had to load anything there myself. Don't even have to move the car/truck, they bring to me and then load it.
This is so cool!Little things can make me happy. Since our big back yard "remodel" last year, I realized I had probably done a disservice to the girls. But with chickens and a Golden Retriever at the time, our yard had turned to so much mud that I had a large brick patio installed with gravel paths all around. Of course, now there's very little area other than a few raised dirt beds for much to grow and you know how quickly any green gets eaten.
So I've decided to keep a steady supply of different seeds sprouted year round. I'm pretty excited about the selection I got and although I'd been saving jars I really like the stacked growing containers I found on Amazon while I was seed shopping.
I also plan to grow out 4- 6 different flats of grass and switch them out this summer for chicken salad bar. I have a nice mix of Omega 3 grass mix that the ladies were loving last year.
I have a 5 lb. can of mung bean sprouts and an assorted box of 12 different seeds for sprouting. DH and I plan to use some of these ourselves in sandwiches, soups, stir fry, etc., and the rest go to the flock.
Here's what I grew first! Fresh Alfalfa sprouts in our stacked containers -
And here's the box of assorted sprouting seeds - a smorgasboard!
