Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps Washingtonians Please Help ChickAudie Plan a Wedding!

There I fixed it!!

Ok, so maybe obviously, with five kids, baby chickens and full-time job, I have no social life. DFH (like what I did there? Dear Future Husband) DOESN'T GIVE A RIP about this whole thing. He's happy to show up and be the reason for a kickarse party. So when I say I need help with the honeymoon, I have very limited resources to valuable opinions and could always use extra "IMO"s.

There are two options that we have:

1) Luxurious hotel suite in downtown Seattle, two night stay with a lovely Argosy dinner cruise and all the attractions of the city, mearly 45 mins from the reception; or

2) A two night stay at Abendblume B&B in Leavenworth (two and a half hours away), where they boast horseback riding, river rafting, wine tasting and peaceful sweeping country views. As seen here http://www.abendblume.com/index.html

GUYS! CHIME IN ANYTIME!
Leavenworth! My wife and I go there every year! Much better than being in a big city.

and welcome to the Washington group!!
I'm in Kitsap, too.

You all are a BAD influence on me.

Today my BGF that is raising our babies went to get her new RIR baby (to replace the baby that died). While there I asked about EEers. They had Araucana's and I found an adorable baby with fluffy cheeks. So, she came home with us. So, now I will have 5 as I said I would take the Dom from walady944. How is it that I had planned to get just 3, and now I have 5????

I haven't told the hubby yet that there will be 5. I don't know when I will. This chicken math is amazing.

Today's Egg production - see the funky one?

When I saw it in the nest box, I thought it was a soft-shell, but it's not.
Here is a close up.

bikerchicky, most stores don't know the difference between Ameraucanas, Aracaunas, and EE's. Aracaunas have no tail, so if your chick gets a tail, it's an EE. People on here and breeders differentiate because there are breeder standards. I love going in to a feed store and asking for EE's and they look at me like "what?". I then ask for Ameraucanas and they know what I am talking about.
I can relate to the chicken math thing. Try being able to hatch your own. I went from 3 to 5 to now I have 27, and planning to hatch a few more under a broody. Setting them this weekend.

I have LGD, a yGreat Pyrnesse and an Anatolian. They were hell on the chickens but after I tossed a bucket at them when they were chasing a hen. it pretty much stopped....having a mean goose on eggs really helped. I also have sheep and ducks, geese and Guineas.

The LGD will wander so a good fence is kep. Mine have discovered a couple of holes so this weekend is fence repair.

So who ever was the person who wanted the Maran eggs, I have Black Copper and Blue Maran eggs, and the rooster is a BLack Copper. Email and I can give you the details and a great price break on the eggs.
