Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

In Yakima - they are available online. You can pull up a map, like google maps, and the county website overlays the flood plains. I live on a seasonal creek, this house has been here for 14 yrs. Just this last year we were required to get flood insurance.

I'm also looking to move to more property. But I'm staying in the Yakima area cuz my bossy wif....errr.. because DW has family here, yeah, that's the ticket.

I plan on hatching at least one batch of babies this year.... When would be a good time to start? I'm gonna have Blondie hatch them and raise them so they will be hatched and raised outside. I didn't have any of my batches until mid to late summer last year but those were all unplanned. I plan on collecting eggs for Blondie this time and we will be giving her her own area to hatch her babies. I did successfully have chicks hatch last Nov/Dec but again, unplanned as my hens ran off to the neighbors hay barn...lol. Kept them outside in their coop with a heat lamp and they id great. Just wanted everyones opinion on when a good time is to hatch babies outside with momma

NOW I AM REALLY GOING TO BED
One of the disadvantages of living out here in the styx! If I lived closer I would be all over getting both of those.

About this thread: I LOVE it here. I've never felt anything but love and support here. And a whole lot of enabling. I very much enjoy the different personalities here, and the fact that there's a lot to read. I hate slow threads. I'm like...c'mon, somebody just POST SOMETHING! when it's slow. NOT HERE! I'm going to be sorely put out and upset (I won't actually tell y'all when it happens but I know I'll cry about not living here and communing with my WA peeps anymore) if we move to MD. Their thread is slow.

If I can, being NEVER lived in Washington, post on here, surely you can still. And I think we pretty much expect it girl.

I am NOT a quiter!

Oh Dave,

You kind of are. After all it involves measuring and cutting and reattaching things to make something that in no way looks like what you started with. Oh and it requires tools!!

I am a very frustrated quilter. It usually takes me years to complete projects because there just isn't enough time in a day.
