Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Make sure you run it for a couple of days before setting to get it calibrated, although the brand you got are pretty accurate.
I am gonna start it Thursday night and let it run all day Friday and Saturday and then set the eggs Sunday morning. I need to find a small thermometer to set inside the incubator just to make sure its matching up to what is on the display.

So, the Home Depot guy went all the way back to Aberdeen, and drove all the way back here & this time delivered our 2 shower stalls.
Shower stalls are 36 x 48 and the crates seem to be at least 2 feet longer.but would make a nice start for a coop OR 2 separate breeding coops for just a few birds.

FREE COME GET THEM (before I decide I wanna keep them

)

DH says NO WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!
If no one claims them, he is gonna cut them up & have a bon fire.

They are 69" LONG
37" WIDE
44" TALL
Seriously, put plywood on the sides, frame a door & a window for air & light, add a roost inside...and PRESTO !!!!!!!!!!
Putting the 2 together to make a single 74" wide X 69" long would be even more coolness~~~~~~~~~~~
Or stack them & do a shed roof on top & make a 2 story coop ?
I made one kinda like that years ago & it had 3 floors with ramps, and 1 big door to open for cleaning...nest boxes on all 3 stories & roosts on top...it was cool, and we called it the (get ready)

Chickie-Boom-Box...................LOL
anyone seriously interested PM me, or else Einstein is getting the saw-zall out !

Oh my gosh I'm GREEN with envy!! I want those so badly!!!!!! But we have NO way to come get them in our little SUV :( I hope someone takes them. They'd be STUPID not to!

PM Mumsy and ask her what brand therm/hygro for reptiles she uses, it is accurate for callibrating.
Calibrate your incubator stem thermometers with a glass of WARM water and a HUMAN thermometer...shake it down & insert in the cup of water, add your incubator stem thermometers & adjust the nut on the back accordingly.
Not so easy with a digital, but what you do is have to remember what temp the human therm says, and add or subtract that to the digital (which will drive ya crazy: do I add 5 degrees ?
subtract 2 ?) the stem thermometers (like a meat probe) from GFI work great.and can be adjusted by the NUT on the back so they will be right -on.

Ah, grandbabies. I have none yet (thankfully). My boys are 27 and 23 and no GF's at this time. I can't wait, but I'm willing to wait longer......MUCH LONGER!!!!
My daughter, Lisa, was raised on a Harley...................as I was PG~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LOL

I thought I missed this baby grand daughter so much I was almost cryin;......then I talked to Lisa on the phone this morning, she was DREARY, EXHAUSTED, just woke up from a cat nap...and I hear the baby SKA_REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMIN in the background...and thought to myself......NAW, I'm good right here !!!!!!!!!!
