I came home from the show today to find *5* eggs in the nest and another being laid! Six eggs in one day! I've never had more than 4!
I got an egg from both my EE pullets today(first time from both) in the run today when I got home from the show.
Quote: Yup, made it with 30min to spare.

. My DW will be coming to the PNPA in April, and I am trying to get her twin to bring her kids to look at the chickens.

Hi Guys

. Had a great time today at the show... Sorry to those I didnt get to chat with... my kiddos were so excited they were pulling me in all different directions trying to pick out which type of chickens they NEEDED to get. LOL..... Natalie wanted to thank Hallerlake, VF and CL for her eggs. We set them in the bator tonight. She cant wait to candle them on day 7. On a sad note I came home to find my very first chicken Henny Penny dead in the middle of the yard.( she would have been 2 next month. She was my best layer. Not sure what happened. She was at the door this morning getting petted and getting her share of the scratch. So I'm at a loss for what happened.

Oh, that was your beautiful Favorelles I looked at about a dozen times today; I really love her. I have two Fav chicks at home and can hardly wait
til they are as large and filled out as yours. Hope they are as nice.

GAAAA they lost my first post!!! I have two fingers on each hand buddy-taped for tendinitis, makes for slow typing.

Stumpfarmer this one is for you I think.
Pics of a tree they use locally in landscaping, I would like to get a couple for my yard. Do you or anyone have any ideas as to what tree this is?

click to make pics larger. Any ideas where to begin ???
Blue spruce would be my guess, but they get ugly as they get older because of spruce gall.

Chickens are funny. They can be so resilient and so fragile. They die for no reason sometimes. It always seems to be one's favorite, too.
