Wow, most of the tilling is done. The entire garden area has been tilled but this ground has never been tilled as far as I know. always pasture. I went over it twice already but it may need a 3rd go around, perhaps perpendictular to what I already have done?
Heck, was feeling so good about the garden I fired up the lawnmower and cut the front yard, had to move a boat and a small yard trailer but it went well.

The gals must have been impressed, they let me be and gave me another 6 eggs. I suspect they will be expecting hand fed treats tomorrow.

T'was a beautiful day here in ol' Rockchester, blue sky, white fluffy clouds and a 4 - 6 mph breeze. Had to take off the coat in work in my sweatshirt.

I could not find this sauce anywhere in QFC :( So I am making my own sauce, it isn't hard but I really wanted something easy. Where do you buy the sauce CR?

Quote: Since I couldn't find the sauce, I made a sauce very similar to this: http://www.food.com/recipe/the-best-sweet-and-sour-sauce-76003 and included pineapple, a green pepper and an onion. For flavor I added: garlic powder, mustard powder, sesame oil, ginger. With rice. It's good!

I'm a little worried Ophelia, the cuckoo maran, will be making it to the soup pot...."Her" beak is turning pretty orangy-red....

ETA- can't tell the difference between the cuckoo marans and the barred rock
lau.gif
Cuckoo Marans is darker, a more "muddy barring" and has pink skin, shanks & feet.
Barred rock is very clearly black & white stripes, and has yellow skin, shanks & feet.
More than likely the Marans has feathers on it's shanks & feet, unless it is a hatchery English type.
