Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Absolutely wonderful information. Know I have a better idea of what is ok. Today I gave them a few grapes. Tomorrow it will be a baby carrot. I think I will try some new "food" each day in small amounts so they start trying new things.
My kids LOVE giving the girls snacks... As soon as they hear the slider open the all come running and squawking. Trying to be the first in line its so funny. My 3 year old ( who feeds them the most) yells at them... Just wait your turn! They will actually "knock" at the door when they want treats... Its fun to see what they like and dont like... Our chickens wont eat broccoli or pineapple...

I hope ya are all ready for some warm weather. See I know we will have a good spell of warm weather now because today we just finished the little wood stove we have been building for my friends VW repair shop.

Here it is the 2 "barrels" are 2' dia 1/2" thick pipe x 5' long.

Oh no worries I just love finding FREE stuff people to use. Right now I am on the hunt for stuff to make a new chicken run....

Oh gee, there is another use for that icky old mattress. Stack those old springs together, wallah, chicken run.

Don't worry, you're fine. I'm one of the few people who can't even think about killing my own birds myself or having them processed. It really messes with me emotionally and makes me feel sick when I get a bit too much detail. I'm not asking anyone to hide anything, just try to give some sort of warning if vivid details are to follow. Again, I'm sorry if this is ruffling feathers.
I am like you. Not a killing gene in me. I can if I have to but would rather not have to. As I am reading and seeing more pictures of the process and how casually you handle it I am getting less squeamish and more interested in the process. Although I don't want to do it, I am a realist and realize I may have to some day. You never know what tomorrow will bring. I always want to know how to survive if the world goes nuts.

I am such a germaphobe lol bad visual bad visual bad visual LOL

Here is another nightmare visual for you.

Take the old mattress springs two wide and use for frame for walls. Fill gap between springs with milk jugs filled with water. Tie it all together. You have a solar greenhouse with places to hang things already there.

Now you see why hubby dreads it when I get in a creative mood. "I AM NOT HAVING MY YARD FULL OF C***!"

that is exactly why I approach it the way I do on the classes. You only have to do what you are ready to do. some people would rather sit inside and talk and not think about what is happening outside, others jump in, and some ask for a strong push to get over the anxiety. we meet people where they are at.

but I have had more than one person start off inside, then at the window, followed by standing outside at a distance. when it is the end of the day they are standing next to me at the table asking what this part is or why we do that. that is a very rewarding feeling. there is no reason to make anyone feel bad about any of it.

LOL actually thats a very good idea... my daughter saw a show about that and looked it up. She was reading about building houses out of milk cartons, plastic bottles and glass soda bottles. She thought it would be a cool idea... as long as its painted she said lol...
