Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I have been listening to my Blue Roo crooning since early this AM and I have figured out (after much thinking) on what his song is really saying.
You can sing along if you wish (tune of "Tammy")

I hear my Roo ster crow ing a loud,
Open up! Open up! I wa nt out!

The grass is green, and the worms are up!
Open up! Open up! Let me out!

Don't you know, the suns been up?
I sing so joyfully, but you fail to hear!

I wish you knew, what I'm drea ming of,
fa at worms, fa at worms,
Fa at worms, yumm

(yeah, too much time on my hands)
well, not bad . . . I sang through it twice . . . what fun!

Lol
Thanks for the pictures!!!  Love your design!   You're going to bury that wire that's in the inside, right?  Since they will scratch & kick rocks, sand, and dirt off of it, they might get small cuts in the pad of the feet, which could lead to bumble foot.  And trust me, you don't want to deal with that.

You and "Miley" do good work!  ;)    The chicks are going to love it!

p.s. Dash's brother is going to a new home tomorrow morning.  Down to just my girls now.  Whew!

I just noticed that !! Lol... That's posting from my phone for you ;-) Miley b came over and his help was invaluable!!

and what fabulous weather we're having...... FOR DUCKS!

I need to grow some webbed feet to go check my hens!
They are playing in the mud as we speak. LOL.
Holderreads don't recommend letting them out when it is skooshy and muddy like today...I see why.

But the creek will wash them off good.

Quote: You should not have to use a heat lamp to keep waterer from freezing, a 75W bulb about 18" above it is more than enough to keep from freezing
When birds are roosting, is it normal for their tails to be up or down? I just went in the run and Laya is sitting on the roost with her tail down. Should I worry? She got down for treats.
Mine have tails down on roosts, I think it helps hold heat in.
