Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I have new babies too. Here is a picture of the 5 survivors. the last one to hatch died 2 days after hatch. Usually I have eggs hatching days 20 and 21. This time I ran the temp, 1/2 a degree lower and the humidity higher. They started hatching day 22 and finished day 25. I think I'll go back to slightly higher temps next time. These are Breda fowl from eBay eggs

Happy B-Day Jessica!!!!!!! You're a big kid now. Hehehe

TerrorBird, thanks for the FB suggestion for rehoming my rooster. He will be going to a farm out in Hilsboro Oregon and won't be dinner.

Welcome to all the new peeps from the South side of the river

Well it wouldn't be a birthday without being up all night huh? Only I used to be up all night partying and this time I was up all night with a tantrum throwing boy in my bed, kicking me in the back and crying if I moved. Ah the joys of motherhood! Sweet littlest baby will turn 3 and mamas heart will break a little more on Friday. Today were all headed to the chiropractor at 11, then DH is taking me out for my birthday this evening.

I've been calling my group of five Belgians the Teeny Ones for a long time (Marmalade is special; she is not lumped in with them). I can only tell one of them apart because she's got frosted tail feathers. Her name is Peanut because I caught her eating a packing peanut in the garage one day. I'm thinking I need to put some colored leg bands on the others so I can tell them apart/name them. They will be...the Mixed Nuts! Already have Peanut (yes, I know it's a legume), but there's still room for Walnut, Chestnut, Hazelnut, and Brazil nut. I was running out of -nuts with that last one.

What about almond, cashew, macadamia, pistachio, lug nut, axle nut !!!

oh- so sorry about the little guy Jess! My son used to be up all night long a lot. Sounds like he was frustrated that he could not sleep.

Where are ya going out for dinner?

I'm not sure! We will likely head to Kent Station, DH just said I could pick. Anyone have any good recs for restaurants there? We're pretty gluten free/dairy free but I do make exceptions for myself for special occasions.
