I think my hen is quite a bit better today! Yesterday she never moved or made a sound, tail down, mouth occasionally open. This morning she is walking around my kitchen floor substantially perked up, ate a little yogurt, drank a lot of water, tail less droopy, and she's talking to me. I'm so happy! I know there could still be problems getting the rest of the grass through but her crop is about half as big today

Cats are great if they are barn cats and keep mice and rats away (I've had a few of that type of cat) but like you, Himself is allergic. He's so allergic, that if I go near a cat during the day, when he comes home he can tell within minutes. His eyes close up and swell and he can't breathe. It's not worth it.

See, here's my problem. My 2 cats have been bringing a dead shrew, mole or mouse EVERY day. They have kept my place- the only place on this road- free of mole hills. Others along this road look like their fields have been bombed, but our place is mole hill free.

Also, I've got stuff stored in rubbermaid tubs out in the sheds that is mouse and rat free. I saw where rats had tried to chew up the rubbermade tote, and got in the lid, chewed a corner off a load of bread, and then the cats must have gotten him, because there was no further evidence after that. It's a love-hate relationship, I tell ya!

BTW- one of my cats is hypo-allergenic and has hair, instead of fur. The other came from Soap lake, so has healing powers
