Chicken Rustler - I get the smart dog vs. dumb dog thing. Luckily we have the time and desire to properly train. It seems many in the area I live don't. It's not fair to the dogs. And it wouldn't be to chickens either. PS - you are so funny!!

I only do that on the days I have somebody else working with me; making an actual list of what I have to do with no help is...prone to make me want to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head.


ETA f'rinstance, if I'd known when I started this day that I was going to spend part of the beginning of it digging an old rabbit-proof cage out of the sod in the place I'm putting the new pen, and some of the bit still to come washing my work pants, I do believe I would have run away from home for lunch, at least.

Ahhh, then add the rain & wind ( and arthritis and back pain & dang wobbly knee &_  & _&_ &_ )  and just maybe going back to bed would be my thoughts as well !

Working outside in the wind is my least favorite thing; yesterday we were having a flat gale with gusts to 45mph and all of us got blown off our feet at least once- and we are not a family of small people. Rain is miserable, but wind, on top of everything else, makes cattle nuts.

Of course I have Thurston County rain and not Pacific County rain, which, being fresh from the ocean, is especially wet.

Well after having a little fire on the cuff of my pants that defoliated to the knee before I got it chilled. Then a nice surprise blast of freon when I cut into a tank that was "empty".
I decided to do a quick inventory on the trailer. As of tonight I only have 130 items plus 30++ no mess chicks. But I still have a few build days left and then will be able to make a few things between PNPA and the OR spring swap and then again tween the Spring swap and the Chehalis Valley Wine Tour.

I dunno if you guys have thought of it but maybe she has epilepsy.... If its that it is treatable... Either way she is beautiful and I hope yall have answers soon.

The vet said cats with epilepsy is rare compared to dogs. She was going to talk to a neurologist (sp?) and see if they have any ideas. It appears her siezures are triggered by repeatitive sounds or high pitched sounds. Not sure what set her off today. I am hoping it is something easily and affordably treatable.

Ohhhh, I think I overdid it again today. Really wupped and draggin'. I get so mad at me, I get tired and don't accomplish that much.
Oh yeah, that thing about losing things. Went to the hardware store and they started their sale a day early and they had exactly what I was looking for. A torch to crisp up the scotch bloom prior to pulling it out. A standpipe with a hose hook up already installed. Anyway, when I got home, all I needed was the propane tank (the kind you use on a Bar B Q). Went to look for it. No good, could not find it. Looked and looked. #1 son came to my rescue and he looked and looked, then he went to the pole barn to look. No good. It was not there either. As he walked past a window, there it was, sitting in plain view under the window.
I swear I could faintly hear a robust belly laugh.

She was so awesome...but, she LOVED PAPER, and she actually ate or shredded several pay checks and money I had, and was very bad on my painting table as I use large sheets of cotton rag when I paint...wee wee loved to lay on my paintings & eat my paycheck............and her fur got stuck in my rag paper............yuck.....

I had a cat that ate photographs. They could be inside an envelope or in a purse and he could smell them, dig them out, and chew them up.

One of my current cats is a string eater. We have spent about $3000 saving his life and my husband said after the last time never again So I am being super careful! He ate fishing line the first time, probably 12 feet of it, and the second time he pulled many many yards of thread off of my sewing machine. It was wrapped around his tongue and the ends were out his hiney. It was bad.

Crazy cats.
