My darling, loud Heidi, that my husband cannot abide is going to live with Hallerlake today. I'm sad, she is so photogenic!

But I know she's going to a good home!

Heidi is adorable!!! She looks and sounds quite a bit like our Cleo (EF)
alas Cleo has no cool pompadour

Heidi is just lovely, look at that hat and lepoard spot jacket!
The height of fashion.
Sorry she has to go.

Words often change in meaning over time, sometimes keeping both or several meanings.
Heathen can also mean "an uncultured or uncivilized person, philistine", Edited to change as well as country person. I just looked up pagan, and couldn't find any reference to country person; it's mainly a polytheistic person.

Yup, belief in oneself is good, but not to the exclusion of anything else. I think we all need to be open to new ideas in order to grow.
Ah, come on you guys, this forum is meant for pleasant exchanges primarily about chickens and family; please don't get hung up on some off hand use of a couple words that had no offense intended. Life is just too short for this kind of disturbance. We can all "play nice" now, can't we?!

While I was at Walmart today I thought for sure I saw Colonel Sanders. But when I called his name he did a pretty good job of acting like he didn't know me.

Man I never heard you!!! I would never had ignored you. Yes I was there at the pharmacy and then in the check out line. Dang, we could have grabbed a coffee or something, heck me and #1 son were starving we could have grabbed a bite to eat.
Dang, now I'm bummed. Dang, dang, dang.

Not caught up, did not have it in me tonight to read through everything. We got up at 5 and left the house at 6 to head to Ashford to pick up DS's little pony. We were trying to get him home and in the stall before DS woke up. We missed, but it was a fun attempt. They had snow down there and it was coming down steadily as we got the trailer loaded with the pony and his tack. We got back just before 9 and got him settled before he came down to the barn. Logan brushed him about 5 times today and can clean his front hooves all by himself. This is the best pony I have ever met.
Here is the hoof cleaning, his feet should be turned away from the horse, but I didn't correct him, as he was so excited that he could do it. We will work on that tomorrow.

Also, in looking over the youngest chicks today, I am 85% sure that one of my white leghorns is also a cockeral. I do NOT need two Leghorn roosters. So,
DH said that he would butcher it.

FWJ ~ the cakes that you made looked wonderful!! Your little guy is cute with his mohawk! I let my boys do the Faux-hawk, but my older son doesn't ever style his hair, so it just looks like a regular haircut. He is not allowed to have a mohawk at school, it is on the disruptive list in the dress code.

Miniatures are great for taking care of. Almost like puppies in the way they act about treats. But, they sure tear up yards.
