Nikki, you haven't been belittled. We all have different ideas and we need to be tolerant of each other. Many on this thread express a belief in god, but there are those who don't believe, and they have just as much right to express their particular beliefs. It's only bad if someone makes fun of you or puts you down that it's a bad thing.

I'm not a believer in god, but I respect other peoples rights to believe in whatever they wish. I know Dave does - he's just expressing his own ideas as have others. If we don't allow one person to express that idea, then we must avoid expressing ANY belief, either for or against.

Yeah, actually I have been. My beliefs are close to my heart, and they were just described as useless, evil, or imaginary. A That goes beyond an expression of belief and becomes an attack on mine. Someone posted an uplifting thought on a difficult day, and THIS was the response? Don't find it helpful, sorry. I'm logging off now. I know I'll just get blasted for being closed-minded and self-righteous. Nope! Just hurt.

I do not think it is up to you to decide if she or anyone else has been belittled. she expressed something that is upliftling to her and many others without offering any judgment on any other belief.
dave offered up that the thing she finds comfort in is weak, evil, or fake. that is most certainly neither tolerant nor respectful, but rather it is hateful.

If you want to learn from someone who made mistakes the first time I had chickens, please wait until you have a adequate place for them you will have so MUCH less stress and heartbreak and more enjoyment if you wait.

None the less, hurts the women & children so badly as to maybe even kill their mother.....( extremely effects the children !!!!)..........it is hard on a 3rd world country when we are speeding into the future as we are, but seriously, how is it that you want a leader that has **ed}your mother in front of you...

He didn't say your beliefs were useless, evil or imaginary. He was expressing his OWN beliefs.
