Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Quote: I'd need a 4wd thing- this place is lumpy and golf carts aren't good with slopes, nor sudden mole holes.

Also it goes against Dad's first law: keep moving.
golf carts deal with slopes all the time. Golf courses are not flat, take it from one who has walked many a course b4 he got smart and rented a gas cart. Much easier on the feet and legs. Brakes are good if adjusted properly. But lumpy ground could be a real problem.

ok, so clearly I'm wittling away at those apple trees quite fervently as well as nursing the cold..

You need to look into a golf cart. Used are pretty cheap, can be modified with a tool tray behind you and they come in electric or gas.!  It would make y our life way more pleasant.

mikeyb I think she would need roll-bars... no kidding sounds like that place is steep and we wouldn't want her to tip over.
When you mentioned your strawberry box expansion, it came to me in a flash! my grow-up house painted to look like a box of strawberry's from the store??

Actually, you can get such critters in 4wheel drive with roll bar, I kid you not! I've looked but the prices are way higher then when I looked into them. (wow it's been 8 years, seems like yesterday)
used AT 4wheeler, tool tray should be an easy addition?

Yeah, that's the other problem: they're not free.

And of course, after my grand tour of most of the place, I looked up from my coop construction/refurbishment projects about twenty minutes ago and TA DA all the cows were in the orchard.

The red cow is still pregnant. She does not look at all happy about it, either.

BikerChicky -

Please disregard the two posts below this one. Those two folks are just jealous of my super-powers! I can tell the sex by the smell.

Anyone who tells you that I have a New Hampshire Rooster over a dozen cheap beers should not be believed.

OK, another one of my chicks. Just taken. These silkies are changing so fast. They are shedding that powdery dander right now from their feathers. It looks like someone had a fight with the a bag of flour in my house. dust! Need that outside coop soon. This one looks like it has a visor on.

Did ya get this bird as adult?? Is there any chance it's a Capon??

One more pic. This is my Chicken Chicken. She was the poor girl that I inherited with getting rid of renters. She sits in my lap at night to watch TV and loves it. My cat can be sitting in the same chair. Odd sight to see all of us on my recliner. She is going on 4 I think and tried to lay some eggs this last week but they just broke from thin shells. She has done her job, I don't care if she lays anymore. She is retired as much as a female can be retired. She still has to run things and make sure all the other chickens act right. Bossy.
