I love the feel of clover (and moss) on my feet. I just let whatever will grow grow. We have moss growing in our driveway. The chickens have been nice and scratched out all the moss right long the north side of the house. I need to get out there and put down mulch.

Yup, I have a big patch at the bottom of the deck. I love it! I use it to clean my boots or bogs before coming upstairs. The moss is a really good foot cleaner. The moss gets in the ridges of the shoe soles, and really cleans it well. And if you've been in cackle-spackle, it really works great. Nothing wrong with moss in my book.

Remember when Drama was hurt? We're pretty sure she got hurt by the other two jumping on her while she was laying around with an impacted crop. I didn't think she'd ever be able to walk again, but the chicken chair did wonders. The safest moss buster is chicken scratch. I just throw a handful in the mossiest part of my backyard and let the chickens scratch out the moss.

See...that's what I was thinking. Why use any chemicals when we have chickens???

As far as my gf being real or not - Um. Yeah... I've seen her and talked to her. For 40 years now. I'm pretty sure she's real. But boy, has she helped me get in trouble a lot when we were in high school. She has talked me into some situations I tell you! And now, more chick raising... when will her bad influence ever end? She even told me to go ahead and order those Olive Egger eggs that should be arriving next week. But no - I don't think anyone else here has ever seen her... Huh.

Sounds like a looonnnngggggg history with your imaginary friend who talks you into things you shouldn't be doing!!! wink wink chuckle chuckle

BikerChicky - I bet you could order some inexpensive replacement pads form the company who made the trampoline. I do it all the time with baby swings and other stuff that is in good shape but just needs a new cushion or something. I was going to suggest using some sort of netting on the underside of the springs and jumpy-bouncy part. I'm not sure how functional it would be for jumpy-bouncing, but perhaps you can attach it to the frame so that it's easy to remove for jumpy-bounces? (I got on one of those not to long ago and almost peed my pants!!! Not fun, and I decided no more jumpy-bouncy

)

I'm going to go out on a limb and break social etiquette and tell everyone about Ron Paul's new Institute for Peace and Prosperity (YAY!) He is an amazing man and has done so much to keep the Constitution upheld. He even has a home-schooling curriculum! I can't wait to learn more about it, I just love that guy!

Such cute little things! I want to hold them!! Right NOW!!!!!!!!! I hope the last two make it out quickly and happily.

Oh, the cutest thing with my little wheaten am. I figured out that when I catch her, which she doesn't really like, and I hold her so that her feet are on the palm of my hand, she relaxes and lets me pet her as long as I want to. Just like when she was tiny! Apparently it's really important to her to have steady footing, because if her feet are dangling she's a real wiggle worm and struggles to get loose. Then, when they finally go inside their coop at night she'll cuddle up to my hand if it's in front of her chest and let me pet her again with my other hand. I just LOVE IT!

By the way.... has anybody actually SEEN this GF that Sadie Sue keeps referring to? Me thinks it's her imaginary little friend who happens to be an enabler so she can hatch more chicks!!!

Going to start out with a couple of bantam and EEx eggs for a test run. Maybe throw in a couple of duck eggs

Speaking of I am gonna be out of pens soon. The list just of what is coming home from Vancouver. 2 Sal Fav pullets, 2 CCL (pullet) chick, 2 OE chicks, 2 Cuckoo chicks, 3 BLRB chicks. Oh my I think somebody is ill in the head.
