Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Cool video =) and nice free coop! If you are worried about it being too damp and/or muddy, you may want to look into sand or gravel.

It's hard to see, but I think you may also want to add some ventilation to the coop itself.

Good morning Washingtonions! I Caught 3 of our week old chicks on the home made perch we introduced yesterday. Being new to this whole chicken world I expected it to take much longer. I like to think that they are some kind of chicky geniuses. Hehe. Eeither way I'm one proud mama hen!

Welcome to the WA thread! Don't you love to see your chicks learning?

Funny story. Back in the early 70's when people where escaping to live in more simple times this little hippy girl, meaning me and my hubby, considered living in a Tee-pee in the woods. Eating off the wild. Shooting game with a muzzle loader. We ran around with a friend who was part of the Mountain Man society. Although today my microwave is my best friend and I don't want to kill anything anymore I still feel those roots. Anyone into Mushroom picking?

Mushrooms..... did I hear mushrooms???? Do you have morels on your property by any chance. DH is allergic to them, but they are my Favs!!! And the season is fast approaching!

For anyone going to be at the Vancouver show this weeked: Does anyone need a start of sourdough? I can bring some if you let me know.

It's been so darn dark and cold and wet lately that it made me want to bake bread! I always use sourdough instead of yeast so I'm all setup to "grow" more and I like to share.

robj..... elizmartin..........

Are you guys going to the show Saturday? If so, I'd love the chance to say "Hi".

p.s. But I'm not going to talk to any of you other strange chicken people..... not
