Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Sounds like since they care so little, you could put on a nametag and employee outfit (if they have uniforms) and clean them up and they wouldn't think twice. If that bin has been deserted, they wouldn't even notice you there.

I'd write to corporate offices about the conditions and take some pictures. Gotta love all the features on phones these days!

Yeah I seen a few posts talking about the show this Saturday. I really want to go but Cody doesn't get off work until Sunday morning. :(
Is it okay for people to just show up to the shows without rhyme or reason, just to have a look around?

And good morning again everyone! I just woke up. *yawn* Went to take the dog outside to potty and got startled by some guy digging through my recycle bin. I think he might have just been someone living in the neighborhood who is out of work.

I feel like sharing a picture of my new puppy with you guys I hope that's okay!

His name is Cricket <3

Okay back to browsing craigslist!
Hello! Welcome aboard!!! VERY cute puppy!!!
Good morning Washingtonions! I Caught 3 of our week old chicks on the home made perch we introduced yesterday. Being new to this whole chicken world I expected it to take much longer. I like to think that they are some kind of chicky geniuses. Hehe. Eeither way I'm one proud mama hen!

For anyone going to be at the Vancouver show this weeked: Does anyone need a start of sourdough? I can bring some if you let me know.

It's been so darn dark and cold and wet lately that it made me want to bake bread! I always use sourdough instead of yeast so I'm all setup to "grow" more and I like to share.
Oh!!! I would LOVE some!!!! Not going to be able to make it to the show, though. I have been too scared to make sourdough, but

That's kind of a funny looking chicken!
--What a cutie!--

So if my yard is constantly geting swamped when it rains, is that going to be too hard on chickens? The coop half of the chicken tractor I got free off of freecycle.org sits up on a couple of rails about six inches above ground level, and has a shallow sloped roof I'm thinking of rebuilding a bit steeper, but the pen half just sits on the ground with no floor at all.

To illustrate, here is a video from a week or two ago when I got it:
And a video of my nesting box that I have since attached (it is raining buckets this morning or I'd just go make a fresh vid for everyone.)

Thanks, guys!
Nicely done. My nest boxes will be inside my coop as it's big enough and my pen is what's is most secure.

I'll be meeting a different Kennedy- RFK Jr in May, at the conference where I am speaking. I love, his raspy voice and his amazing passion for all things enviromental.

You guys are SO HARD to catch up with in this thread!

I've been browsing through the coop section and I think I have landed on a favorite.

I really like the way chickenbouquet's coop looks. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/our-coop-adventure

No clue where to start but it can't be THAT HARD can it??

I have a bunch of sections of picket fence that I am taking out that serve really no purpose at the moment and I think I could recycle them into a small chicken run like that!

) and he was OBSESSED with the JFK conspiracy theories (may have fueled a little fire). We spent two months in school going over the facts of the event and all the the mysterious deaths of witnesses...very creepy. He loved that I still have a newspaper from that very day and day after. I would stay in after class was over and we would just talk about all the things that didn't add up (kind of like the Boston bombing) I should probably have it preserved in some way. It's not from a big publication, just the Tacoma News Tribune that my Grandfather gave to me a long time ago.

Update on my genius chickys. First day with thier roost and they have all mastered the ones I set up at 1 and 2 inches high. 2 of our chicks have even made it up to the one I set at about 5 inches high. As I said before, I am one proud mama over here!

The perpetually pregnant red cow is no longer pregnant! nice big dark roan bull calf, about half again the size of yesterday's little girl. The two momma cows (Nixie and Hannah, for the record) were born on the same day and last year was the first time they hadn't had their calves in the same week.

Photos later, I'm only in the house to sit down and drink a glass of water and text my daughter.

Chick Audie: I kinda think he knows the difference, and that it was a silly joke. You might want to google RuPaul
