My walk-about brooder Arbuckle is now going into mother mode again. Sigh, I guess I'll make up the broody pen again and give her 8 eggs to sit. I don't mind the little extra work it takes, it's the dang waiting!

Yeah.... Country Fairs all over the place coming up quick. Do you do volunteer work at your fair? Do they show very many chickens? That's always been one of my favorite things.

I don't volunteer at the fair but I go every year. There is usually quite a few chickens but it is still a small county fair.

Hey everyone!

Since we're on the subject of fairs, I though that I'd put it out there that I'll be showing chickens at the Kitsap County Fair in Silverdale WA! I think it would be awesome if some of you guys that are going to be in the neighborhood or who will be at the fair will maybe come see me This is my first time showing chickens (as well as rabbits) and I would love to hear from anyone else who is showing for some tips and maybe some company! I'll also be in the pig barn hoping to snag Grand Champ in showmanship again for my hogs.

Hope some of you can make it! Even if you arent interested in the chickens the fair is usually a whole lot of fun, and the food is pretty great too (I'll always recommend a Dingleberry, trust me, you'll love it if you try it, haha)
