does any one have a good feed recipe? I was thinking that possibly 2/5 wheat 1/5 rolled corn 2/5 oats might be good. I don't think that barley is good for layers but do layers do well on oats?Any input is welcome!![]()

I love your feedersbeen meaning to build some like that for a while. With the feed what I'm trying to do is get it lower than 25 cents a #.
(that's the amount we're paying right now) although it is still a better price then layena at 35 cents a #.![]()

When I took my chickens off Layena and switched to a slightly cheaper feed they all but quit laying. As soon as that bag was gone I went back to Layena and they were all laying normally within five days. I don't think I'll switch feeds again in order to try to save a little money. The hens seem happy with it.
