Oh my, "chickie's cheese has flung clear off her cracker !" is what 3,2,4 would say !
Chicken Rustler is gonna bring me back a SS fermentation tub I gave him a while back, to make yard art out of.......luckily he has not touched it.
So, we'll get together & toast the new year with the new spirits from spiritwood !

Sounds like the eternal student, Yahoo…so awesome…Good to hear Ya….been away from the puter….trying to downsize but sooooo hard…vbg can't add the new without ………wish i lived closer…..missed Chelalis this fall……….

FYI, i have not had easy time with winter eggs being fertile….

something you can use on rooster/cockerel combs affected by freezing temps…Solrays, Vit E & Selenium capsules…..I have massaged it on grey frostbite combs and it has helped….It was what i had at the time and am sure there are other things one can try…..after about a week the combs started to recolor…….

Just heard on the morning news that there are 2 commercial chicken operations just over the Canadian/Washington border with Avian flu, tons of birds to be euthanized. thats just not far enough away not to make one jumpy at the first dust sneeze……..

Yeah. That's close enough to make a person nervous

I'm getting my flock in lockdown just in case. I live in an area where we get a LOT of Canadian traffic and they all come through Abbotsford to get here. I can't imagine those farms losing hundreds of birds like that. They were turkeys and broilers. I've got English Orps, Ayam Cemani, and various other layers. I can't stand the thought of losing a single one.
