Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

After I found her standing still in the coop today unwilling to put her foot down, I knew I had waited too long.
So tonight we had a nice long Epsom foot soak (while I had half a beer), and a little bit of foot surgery. I felt like a butcher out of a bad horror movie.

I didn't see much, but I did get out some bits of foreign stuff that didn't seem to belong. Squeezed as much as she would allow me to. Didn't see much puss.
We packed it full of Neosporin (non pain relief) and put a wrap on it.

Etta's tucked into bed now in the warm basement.

I think she took the whole ordeal much better than I did.

Oops, yeah I should have started with "Bumblefoot Surgery"...

Salmon Faverolles. She's kind of "mutty" and small, but I like her personality and she puts up with me always trying to pick her up and such :)

Yeah.... that did look a bit like a cooking pot! I had to look twice!

Good job -- proud of you! And yes, they take it better than we do.
