Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I am in Vancouver, WA and am ALSO looking for fertile hatching eggs from the grocery store...more as a fun experiment. I'm really curious as to whether or not I could hatch them. I have checked the following stores:

Trader Joe's Vancouver, WA: Did not carry them
Whole Foods Vancouver, WA: Did not carry them.
New Seasons Hillsboro, OR: Did not carry them.
Natural Grocer's Vancouver, WA: Did not carry them.
Multiple Fred Meyer, Safeway, and WalMart locations in Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR: Did not carry them.

So if you are in the Vancouver WA/Portland OR area and happen to find some, please let me know! I would love to try to hatch a couple dozen! :clap

I could get you some ducks eggs...khaki campbells

Looks like the Avian Flu outbreak up in BC has spread to another farm. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...-spread-to-a-5th-fraser-valley-farm-1.2863178

Ugh that is so scary! Washington state has a grant allowing them to test flocks for AI every 90 days at no cost to owners. I'm NPIP certified and chose to participate in the AI - clean program (it's voluntary) but I wonder if non-NPIP certified people can do it also? (Not that it will help prevent anything lol).

re: the amercana/EE thing it's breeders versus hatcherys.. the hatcherys have trademarked Easter eggers so the breeders have the amercana which follow a standard it's a big political drama thing between breeders n hatcherys..... but easter eggers are basically mutt chickens that throw easter eggy colored eggs.........amercana's have a set standard of perfection anything differing is a DQ

Not sure where you heard this, but hatcheries have not trademarked Easter Eggers.
