And the controversy continues! ROFL![]()
Let's see.... "The Coast" - "The East Side" - "The Mountains" - "The Peninsula" all of these have at least 2 meanings depending on where you were raised and where you live now.
I was born in either Eastern Wa, Northern Wa,, Central Wa, or North Central Wa
Then I moved to either Eastern Wa. or Central Wa.
Then I moved to "The Coast", W. Washington, or Seattle, but didn't actually live in Seattle.
A few moves later and I was "On The Peninsula", but still on "The Coast" or "in Seattle", but it was really a Peninsula on "The Peninsula".
To be accurate, maybe we should always talk about counties so that we can all get totally confused. Or maybe we'd learn where every county actually is in this lovely state. Myself, I only know the actual location of about 30% of our counties. I've lived in 4 and have relatives in 6 more but that only scratches the surface! Yee Gads!
Love this State -- Really!

Hello, Washington! I hope this is appropriate to post this here...and I sincerely apologize if it's not. =/
I would like to offer some free chicks, and heavily discounted chicks, to BYC members in my area. They hatched over this past weekend and are leftover from wait-list:
- (8) Pure Breed Assorted Day-Old Bantams for $3.00 each: includes Silkies, Dutch, Old English, etc.
- 1 FREE Male Welsummer chick, two days old
- 1 FREE Japanese bantam, two weeks old and gender unknown
- I also have a pair of Lavender Hamburgs that I would like to sell together (they adore each other) for $5.00 for the pair. They are an ongoing project and hatched out of tiny blue eggs. Gender unknown, and I am currently trying to fix a crooked toe on one of them. But they are SUPER chill, very quiet, and love to cuddle.
All I ask is they not end up as pet food. Whether you decide to process them at maturity or keep them for eggs, that's your business. But I would like them to go to a good home that will care for them through chick-hood! Thanks for listening! PM for details! Stay WARM!
....I do feel as though we have had an unusually warm winter...?
What if any adjustments is anyone making with reports of bird flu in the state
