Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

My Faverolles went broody on me and she's just turned 7 months old. I'm trying to break her though. We'll see how it goes.

Does anyone know the admission fee to the WFF show in Monroe? And are the hours 9 - 2? I can not find much information on their website. It seems like the info should be there since it is such a big event.

It's free to come watch. Show starts at 9. Entries needed to be post marked by today (probably could get away with tomorrow early). I'm mad they didn't update their site. They are expecting everyone to check Facebook this year I guess.

Thanks Hinotori! I am not entering anything, but thought it might be fun to see what is up there. Maybe I had better leave my wallet at home though since I don't need to come home with anymore "pets" LOL

Are male Cayugas noisier than females? I want them for slug patrol and heard they might help and are a relatively quiet duck. The sex is not important to me, just the loudness. Got an older, quiet duck or two that simply needs a good home? Lol

The males are actually the quiet ones. My female duck is definitely the noisy one of my current ancona trio. She kinds honks in comparison to the rasping sound the boys make.

Nothing available until they hatch in 2 weeks. But you can come grab a few Cayuga ducklings straight run if you want. I haven't set a price yet or anything though. I'll have probably 5 available if all of the eggs I set hatch. They are all doing perfectly so far.

Does anyone know where I can get Buff goslings in WA?

Do an internet search for Tani Creek Waterfowl Farm. They have buff goslings available right now for pre order. I ordered mine last month, 2 unsexed for $30. They started laying on Valentine's Day! I hope that means there will be fertile eggs soon. I wasn't this excited when I was expecting a human baby, lol :)

They beat up other chickens. They are evil little things. They don't eat the big slugs. Of course those are bigger than their beaks.
