I would love half Hammies and some Penedesencas... but can only find roos for sale. Major bummer. Oh well, somethi.g to lust for NEXT year... Right? Lol

Hi... I have a small flock of Partridge Penedesencas and will be setting eggs very soon if you are interested. They have just really started laying well. If you know of a Partridge Penedesenca rooster, I could use another one. I ordered 2 roos and 5 hens. One roo was white... so probably a partbred, and one of the hens is laying olive eggs. <sigh>

Only the females make the "Buckwheat sound...the mles also have higher 'helmets and longer wattles.
We called the males "Bacon Face"

Eliz has it marked on the calendar, its the closest show for me.…..and kudos for the Bantam Salmon faverolles…..endearing easy keepers and i think lay more eggs than the LF.

Dang, now I feel like I gotta go to the show !!!!!!!

Half wondering if there will be a broody LF Cochin or 2 for sale at the Monroe thing.. I'd rather spend my money on that than an incubator

Get some Fluffy silkiebators, not cochins !

The eggs in my incubator all seem to be doing well. I had one clesr. So I should be getting 8 Cayugas and 8 Anconas on March 15th... if all continues to go well. 5 of the Cayugas will be for sale. And a couple of the Anconas. Just in case anyone local will be looking for ducklings then. I'm just doing this for fun to expand my backyard flock so nobody is certified or anything. All but 1 or my eggs is grey or blue. And the Ancona flock has lots of pretty colors.

I have been wanting Cayugas for a while, keep me posted, and where did the eggs originate from ?

Would you post a few pictures of your Favs? Mine are from Cackle and the hens are a bit dark and I had considered swinging by Baxter but if his aren't any better I'll skip it.

I finally caught up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surgery went OK until they gave me Laudenum in recovery, where as I awoke unable to breathe & having a wonderful anaphalaxis attack...not to mentioned STONED at the same time.
After some Narcan & a giant shot of benadryl in the IV, I was OK & went back to sleep.
So, the gall bladder is GONE and I can once again eat BACON !!!

Clipped Bielefelder's Cushions..so fluffy there was no way they could breed !
About as bad a LF Cochins !!!

OK, I better go read the show paperwork & see if I wanna go or not....
