Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

It will be my first time going to the Fancy Feathers Spring Show. Keeping my fingers crossed I will see goslings at the event.

I have been wanting Cayugas for a while, keep me posted, and where did the eggs originate from ?

You know... I didn't even think to ask where they came from. I just got them from a woman I saw post in Duck Eggs Daily Facebook wall... and noticed she was local. Haha. I was just looking for a pet for my son so I wasn't too picky. I'll ask her and let you know.

I have scratched the duck idea for the time being, but only because I am busy battling city hall on other matters. Still looking for Silver Spangled Hamburg chicks if you can find someone that can beat the May 15th delivery Ideal has me down for (anyone have any Ideal Hammies? They somewhat decent quality? Not looking to show, but still want healthy and pretty bird's). Can only have girls though, as you probably know. So need the little devils sexed or need to be able to return any little boys.
Have you called the feed stores in your area that bring in chicks…..some only do the basics but others like the Monroe feed store across from the fairgrounds and Dels???? down the road often bring in more rare colors and breeds. Id call around, easier….

QUESTION:

I live in Vancouver, WA. I am OUTSIDE of city limits, just north of the Hazel Dell area.

I have six hens and one rooster in my backyard. I live in a pretty tight suburban neighborhood.
(For those familiar with the area, I'm off of I-5 exit 5).

A neighbor informed me today that I am not allowed to have roosters.

I've done lots of research but cannot find anything concerning the specific area in which I live.

Is there anyone in the Vancouver, WA area who could shed some light on this?

I would much prefer to keep my roo.

There was a note about the Vancouver Municipal Area.... If you are in that area, you are entitled to vote.... If you are not in the voting district for the area they are representing.... I know what they could do.... and it's difficult....

I was under the impression that I could keep him since I am outside of city limits...it becomes Clark County.

I had a conversation with a woman who was selling chicks awhile back in a nearby neighborhood (two minutes west of me). She kept two roosters, has had them for years. So I guess I believed her when that's what she told me.
