I have a hard time with spell check, maybe it is cuz I am not using it correctly, but mine tells me what I mispelled (or it thinks I misspelled) But it never tells me how to correctly spell it, only that it is wrong...so how do you find out the correct spelling from spell check ?
Wow crazy! I have dermagraphism too... Never been officially diagnosed but I had looked it up a long time ago... I easily welt up from scratches and scrapes... Not the wind tho. Sorry to hear that but happy you have a diagnosis.
It is weird how happy I was when I had a diagnosis..as if FINALLY someone believes me...and we can do something about it, change medications for the itching & asthma...maybe some food changes as well.
SO
Last evening I made 3 gallons of pure water (no chlorine) and mixed in 3 oz of low fat instant powdered milk..(1 oz of PM per gal water)....kept cool overnight....
this morning at before the crack of Dawn, DH and I dumped some in a jar & mixed ILT vaccine in it, reconstituted, stirred, and dumped back into the milk, and gave ALL the coops a bucket of the milk solution.
This is the easiest vaccine to give (in my opinion) I would never give it via eye drop solution...with so many birds it would take hours and cause too much trauma, catching & releasing each bird...no way.
So, those interested to know, ILT is a super-easy vaccine to give.

It IS such a relief to get a diagnosis when you have been suffering with something. My daughter also has dermagraphism and her extremities also turn shades of purple. Mostly her feet, ankles and hands but it's not Reynauds Syndrome. She doesn't have a diagnosis other than dermagraphism. She gets the littlest bump or scratch and welts like crazy!

I woke up this morning with my left index finger purple only on the palm side...took some pictures so I'll work on getting them posted to show you.
Hopefully you can find out what ailes your daughter...I DO have raybaud's, but this on 1 side of my finger is not Raynaud's.
So weird !
I cannot take any antihistamine med except Diphenhydramine....if I do, I get bad anaphalxis reactions...that includes Afrin, Claritin & Zertex....if I take Diphenhydramine, I get relaxed just enough to state my case, maybe talking too much.............
Sorry if I was ranting....
There was a BYCer on this thread several years ago, forgot her name, but she'd come on (and was up all night often) and RANT constantly...she was very hard on alot of ppl, apparently due to her meds, and hopefully I do not get that bad.
Apologies to any I offended...

Hard to see, but it is so weird !
Something I past through a few days ago in my search for mast Cell Disease, was POTS syndrome, maybe that is the blood-pooling that causes the discoloration you see ?
Look up POTS syndrome, postural orthopaedic tachicardia or some-such name
me too, but if you look, there is a reason,,, I get hives (welts) and derma grafica, from WIND ON MY SKIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In other words, the sensation of wind on my skin can welt me...
So the mast cell is a right on diagnosis !
OE Silver Cuckoo Marans Cock \ You can see his wonderful barring...not so with the hens, which is why this is a SEX LINK breed. 2 young cockerels 2 really nice upcoming cockerels... Pullets...young hens of the same breed which is why they are a SEX LINK breed SO, in a sex-link breed, the sexes are diffrent colors, as seen in this post, trying to educate you...so's ya know, what is a male, what is a female, what is a sex link...and so on, and hopefully NO ONE IS OFFENDED and we'll have this post erased cuz some goony girl is so upset that we actually call a bull a bull...and a cat a cat and a ram a ram, and a cockerel a cockerel, and a mature male chicken is a cock.
they really got your feathers ruffled! I agree with you. When I started on BYC I was confused about the roo terminology... I thought it was just because of international terminology... I didn't think someone would actually be offended by cock on a poultry site don't let them go to a dog breeder's website!
